Lukashenko calls for CSTO's deeper interaction with UN, SCO, other int'l organizations
MINSK. June 20 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has called for stepping up interaction between the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and other international organizations.
"We need to deepen the CSTO's interaction with the United Nations, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and other international organizations," Belarus's state news agency BelTA quoted Lukashenko as saying at a meeting with foreign ministers of the CSTO countries on Tuesday.
The meeting participants are discussing priorities of Belarus's presidency of the CSTO and the situation in the region and the world as a whole.
