Ukrainian govt proposes terminating investment encouragement, mutual protection agreement with Russia

MOSCOW. June 20 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has asked the Verkhovna Rada to terminate the Ukraine-Russia agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments.

The government adopted this decision at its meeting on Monday, Ukrainian media said, citing the government's representative to the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.

Specifically, a bill terminating the aforementioned agreement, which was signed in Moscow on November 27, 1998, has been approved.
