Putin refuses to give Biden advice on foreign policy

MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - United States President Joseph Biden is an experienced politician and is free to do as he sees fit; Russia will meanwhile act according to its own interests, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"President Biden is a grown-up man and experienced politician. It is not for me to teach him," Putin said at a session of the St. Petersburg international economic forum on Friday.

When asked what lesson he might wish to offer Biden "with regards to Russia's foreign policy," Putin said: "Let him [Biden] do what he thinks should be done, but we do what is consistent with the interests of Russia and the Russian people. And everyone else will have to deal with this."
