Ukrainian govt proposes withdrawing from CIS protocol on social, legal guarantees for military service members

MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers proposed at its meeting on Friday that the Verkhovna Rada vote for Ukraine's withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) protocol on social and legal guarantees for military service members, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the government's representative at the Rada Taras Melnichuk.

In particular, the government approved a bill titled 'On Ukraine's withdrawal from the protocol to the agreement between the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States on social and legal guarantees for military service members, individuals discharged from military service, and their family members' dated February 14, 1992.
