Central Bank hopes to conduct first real operations with digital ruble in July-Aug - first dep governor

ST. PETERSBURG. June 16 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia hopes to conduct the first real operations with the digital ruble in July-August this year, Olga Skorobogatova, CBR First Deputy Governor, said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"I anticipate we'll be able to start the first real operations [with the digital ruble] in July-August," she said, commenting on the possibility of a package of bills on the digital ruble being adopted in the near future.
