Water level in Kherson down by further 45 cm, stands at 2 meters on Wednesday evening - regional military administration head

MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax) - Water levels in the Dnieper River in the city of Kherson continue to decrease, head of the Kiev-controlled regional military administration Alexander Prokudin said.

"The water is currently at the 2 meter mark. As compared to where it was in the evening yesterday, the water level has declined by 45 centimeters and is likely to continue to recede," Ukrainian media quoted Prokudin as saying during the national telethon on Wednesday evening.

As reported, the water stood at 2.7 meters as of the morning on Tuesday, June 13.
