Kiev expects India to take part in peace summit

MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - Ukrainian presidential office chief Andrei Yermak called on the countries of the Global South to join a peace summit in a telephone call with Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Kumar Doval.

"The main subject of the conversation was the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula, particularly consolidation of international support for the Ukrainian peace plan and India's possible engagement in implementing its particular clauses. In this context, the parties discussed preparations for holding a global peace summit," Ukrainian media reported with reference to the presidential office's statement.

Yermak also urged India to join the international community's efforts to overcome the consequences of the Kakhovka Hydropower Plant disaster.
