NAMI state enterprise acquires Bosch's Samara production unit for manufacturing ABS, ESP systems

MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - The Samara production unit of Bosch, which manufactures anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and electronic stability programs (ESP) for cars, is being transferred to the state property of the Russian Federation, the press service of the Central Research Automobile and Automotive Institute (NAMI) federal state unitary enterprise, under the Industry and Trade Ministry, told Interfax.

NAMI the previous day concluded the deal to acquire a 100% stake in Robert Bosch Samara LLC.

"NAMI and the Industry and Trade Ministry will jointly provide comprehensive support to the facility in order to relaunch the production processes," NAMI said in a statement.

Manufacturing of ABS and ESP systems is planned to restart as of 2024, and it should reach design capacity as of 2025.
