Armenian Central Bank raises 2023 economic growth forecast to 6.9%
YEREVAN. June 13 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Armenia expects the country's economy to grow 6.9% in the current year, which is one percentage point above the previous forecast.
"Our forecasts show GDP growth this year of 6.9%. We have improved our forecast by 1% based on growth in the construction and services sectors," Central Bank Chairman Martin Galstyan said at a press conference on Tuesday.
Armenia's 2023 state budget calls for 7% GDP growth.
In January through March of this year, construction saw growth of 15.6%; trade was 21%, and services 22.9%, statistics show.
