Russian govt budget receives 142.8 bln rubles in dividends from Rosneftegaz in 2022

MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - Rosneftegaz state holding, through which the Russian government owns shares in several large companies, was the second largest payer of dividends to the federal budget in 2022.

Information on receiving dividends from companies with state participation for the past year is disclosed in the conclusion on the results of the audit implemented by the Federal Property Management Agency (Rosimuschestvo) regarding the law on the budget for 2022-2024, as published by the Accounts Chamber.

The government overall received dividends totaling 753 billion rubles in 2022, which exceeded the forecast by 8.7% although a number of companies on which the budget was counting for receipts posted losses or did not distribute profits. Gazprom paid out interim dividends for the first half of 2022, which was the main factor for the forecast being exceeded. Specifically, Gazprom distributed 463.6 billion rubles, or 61.6% of budget revenues under this item, according to the conclusion.

Rosneftegaz paid 142.8 billion rubles to the budget in 2022, or 19% of the total indicator, according to the document, including 101.2 billion rubles that the state holding transferred as interim dividends.

The list of the largest payers next contains Transneft , RusHydro , JSC CPC-R, DOM.RF, Zarubezhneft, Rostelecom , Bashkir Soda Company , the State Administration for the Issue of Bank Notes (Goznak), Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP), and Roszarubezhneft.

Rosneftegaz accumulates dividends from stakes in Rosneft , Gazprom, and Inter RAO . Rosneftegaz was identified as a strategic investor in the fuel and energy complex as per the presidential decree dated 2012, though the state holding periodically allocates funds to other priority goals, such as manufacturing aircraft engines, constructing power plants in the Kaliningrad Region, the Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex in the Far East, and others.
