Ukrainian-Canadian declaration supports Ukraine's accession to NATO - Zelensky
MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - Ukraine and Canada have recorded Canada's support for Ukraine's accession to NATO in a declaration.
Ukrainian media reported that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this at a press conference following the meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau last Saturday.
Zelensky thanked the Canadian government for its decision to extend the duty-free regime for importing goods from Ukraine for another year.
The Ukrainian leader also offered his condolences and support to all Canadians who are "currently going through a terrifying ordeal of forest fires." If required, Ukraine is willing to send its firefighters to Canada, he said.
Canada has allocated over $8 billion in the large-scale assistance to Ukraine since February 2022.
