Sanofi company's humanitarian aid to Ukraine at nearly 1.5 bln hryvni since start of crisis

MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - The humanitarian efforts by the Sanofi pharmaceutical company in support of Ukraine in the form of medications, financial assistance and donations from the company's staff have amounted to nearly 1.5 billion hryvni since the start of the crisis.

In particular, Sanofi has provided about 37 million doses of medications for more than 34.4 million euros to Ukrainian patients, a company spokesperson told Ukrainian media.

Specifically, in 2022, Sanofi supplied Ukraine with insulins, cardiovascular, antiepileptic and cancer treatment medications, as well as medications to treat multiple sclerosis, rare diseases and to provide emergency medical care. That year, Sanofi also joined the European Commission's healthcare initiative in support of Ukraine and provided 200,000 diphtheria and tetanus vaccine doses free of charge. In the 2022-2023 epidemiological season, the company provided 163,000 doses of its own flu vaccine free of charge to Ukrainian medics and representatives of other professions from the risk group.

Throughout 2022, Sanofi refrained from raising prices for its products, a step that helped immensely support patients and consumers.
