Ukraine to receive NATO's aid for dealing with Kakhovka HPP disaster's aftermath - FM Kuleba

MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - Ukraine has provided NATO with a list of urgent humanitarian needs to address the consequences of the disaster at the Kakhovka Hydropower Plant (HPP) and will receive assistance under the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre in the near future, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing the press service for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

This matter was discussed at a session of the NATO-Ukraine Commission convened at the Ukrainian side's initiative. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba took part in the session.

Kuleba expressed gratitude to NATO and individual allies for their emergency readiness to help Ukraine.

He once again called on the partners to make decisions bringing Ukraine's accession to the alliance closer at the NATO summit in Vilnius.

"There is no doubt that Ukraine's membership would make NATO stronger. In reality, we're already making the alliance stronger," Kuleba said.
