Cuba suggests establishing alliance with EAEU to manufacture vaccines, medicines

SOCHI. June 8 (Interfax) - Cuba has made a proposal to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to create a multinational pharmaceutical alliance to achieve sovereignty in the production of vaccines and medicines. Cuba's Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz proposed the idea at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Sochi on Thursday.

"To improve the health and wellbeing of our peoples, Cuba suggests creating a multinational alliance in the pharmaceutical sector to achieve sovereignty in the development and production of vaccines and medicines," he said.
