Shmygal favors engaging int'l partners to set up Ukrainian stock market

MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has discussed the establishment of a full-fledged stock market in Ukraine with the Economy Ministry and the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.

"We're working on introducing a mandatory superannuation system. The creation of a full-fledged capital market in Ukraine is an integral element of this reform," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on his social account.

Ukraine has signed a memorandum with the American Chamber of Commerce and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

"We need to switch to practical steps, namely the establishment of stock market infrastructure. Engaging international partners in this project would help implement best practices," Shmygal said.
