Finland to expel nine Russian diplomats

BERLIN. June 6 (Interfax) - The Finnish authorities have taken the decision to expel nine diplomats working at the Russian Embassy in Helsinki, European media outlets said, citing the office of the Finnish president.

The diplomats' actions "violate the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," the presidential office said.

The Russian ambassador will be informed about the decision, it said.

According to the Finnish side, the Russian embassy personnel who are to be expelled were engaged in intelligence activities.
