Ukraine quits CIS agreement on sharing legal information

MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government decided at a meeting on Tuesday to withdraw from an agreement on exchanging legal information between the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, which was signed in Moscow on October 21, 1994.

The decision means the termination of Ukraine's obligation to cooperate with the CIS member states, particularly Russia and Belarus, in exchanging legal information, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to government representative to the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk's social media post.
