Medium platform blocked in Russia

MOSCOW. June 1 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has limited access to the Medium social journalism platform in Russia.

According to Roskomnadzor's universal service for verifying restrictions on webpages and websites, there is currently no access to the medium.com website. The regulator has not explained the restrictions.

Interfax has contacted Roskomnadzor for comment.

Medium was launched in August 2012 by Twitter co-founders Evan Williams and Biz Stone.
