Eritrea interested in developing ties with Russian automakers Kamaz, Ural

MOSCOW. June 1 (Interfax) - Eritrea is interested in developing relations with Russian automakers Kamaz and Ural, according to materials prepared for talks between President Vladimir Putin and the leader of Eritrea Isaias Afwerki in the Kremlin on Wednesday.

Eritrea "is expressing interest in developing relations with JSC Ural Automobile Plant and PJSC Kamaz, whose products have proven themselves in the climatic conditions of this country," the materials said. Kamaz, Russia's leading truck maker exported 56 automobiles and five buses worth about $5 million to Eritrea in 2018.

Afwerki arrived in Moscow on Wednesday for negotiations with Putin.
