Sanctioned goods not entering Russia via Georgia - First Deputy PM Davitashvili

TBILISI. May 30 (Interfax) - Delegations from the European Union and the United Kingdom will soon visit Tbilisi to look into Georgia's compliance with the international sanctions imposed on Russia, Georgia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili said.

"On this matter, we are actively maintaining dialogue and cooperation with our partners. As is known, Georgia did not introduce individual sanctions against Russia, but we declare unequivocally that sanctioned products do not and will not enter Russia via Georgian territory," Davitashvili told the Georgian television company Imedi.

Yesterday, Davitashvili met with EU ambassadors, who passed on a demarche over the resumption of flights between the two countries. The ambassadors expressed concern and regret at the resumption of air travel.
