Buffett Foundation and Corteva Agriscience to supply Ukrainian farmers with winter oilseed rape seeds

MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - The Howard G. Buffett Foundation will provide Pioneer winter oilseed rape seeds to small Ukrainian farmers, Ukrainian media said, citing the press service of Corteva Agriscience.

The foundation's founder and head said that his organization is glad to cooperate with Corteva Agriscience to help farmers gain access to the seeds that they need so badly, at the same time helping to ease today's global food security crisis, according to the press release.

Farmers who are in problem-ridden regions and plan to sow winter rapeseed on up to 200 hectares can participate in the program. Farmers who will order at least five units of Pioneer seeds will be able to receive the same additional amount of Pioneer seeds at a symbolic price of one hryvnia (without VAT).

In order to apply, farmers will have to contact the Corteva Agriscience trade representative in their region, the company said.
