Ukraine, South Korea might make lithium batteries together - Zelensky

MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has supported the development of economic relations with South Korea.

"Given the resources of Ukraine and the technology of Korea, I believe we can achieve a lot in the field of lithium batteries," the Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying in an interview with Chosun Ilbo.

"Considering the resources of Ukraine and large reserves and technological capabilities of Korea, I think that the area of lithium batteries looks promising. Lithium extraction in Ukraine will make production of such goods possible. We have lithium manufacturing facilities left since the time of the former Soviet Union," Zelensky said.
