Kazatomprom board chairman Longfellow leaving co on June 21

ASTANA. May 30 (Interfax) - Kazatomprom independent director and chairman of the board of directors Neil Longfellow is leaving his post and the company on June 21.

"I would like to thank Kazatomprom and all its employees for the long-term support and delivery of our strategy in the world uranium market. After six successful years on the board of directors of Kazatomprom, I have decided to move on to explore new opportunities," Kazakhstan's national nuclear corporation quoted Longfellow as saying in a press release.

Longfellow, has been a member of the board since August 8, 2017, and chairman since May 18, 2020.

The company did not say who would replace Longfellow as chairman.

Kazatomprom is Kazakhstan's national operator for the export of uranium and its compounds, rare metals, nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants, and special equipment. The company is controlled by National Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna.
