Kazakhstan ready to become center of Eurasian industrial cooperation - Tokayev

ASTANA. May 25 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan is ready to become a center for the development of Eurasian industrial cooperation and integration in the current geopolitical circumstances, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

"In the current geopolitical situation, Kazakhstan, bearing in mind its geography and capabilities, is ready to become a center for the development of Eurasian industrial cooperation and integration," Tokayev said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on Thursday.

This may include "joint ventures to produce electric cars, mainline locomotives, train carriages, agricultural equipment and passenger vehicles, construction materials, and chemical products," he said.

"We are also ready to implement joint projects on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, with the subsequent processing and production of finished products," he said.
