Russia, China sign memorandum of understanding on trade in services

BEIJING. May 24 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Chinese Premier Li Qiang signed a memorandum of understanding between Russia's Economic Development Ministry and China's Commerce Ministry on deepening investment cooperation in trade in services at a meeting in Beijing.

The countries agreed to develop interregional trade in services, encourage participation in exhibitions and fairs by businesses from both countries, and stimulate businesses to hold joint events in various sectors.

A memorandum on friendship and cooperation was also signed between Russia's Sports Ministry and China's General Administration of Sport.

Mishustin and Li Qiang also adopted a joint statement of intent to extend the pilot program for accelerating patent office proceedings between Rospatent and China's National Intellectual Property Administration.
