Rosoboronexport to participate in supplying satellites, promote other space services

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Rosoboronexport is ready to supply satellites to foreign partners and to launch them into space, Rosoboronexport head Alexander Mikheyev said.

"We are ready to supply partners with ready-to-launch satellites and to launch them together with the Roscosmos state corporation, using Russian launch vehicles, in the interests of [our] clients," the Rosoboronexport press service quoted Mikheyev as saying on Tuesday.

"We are also offering various options for technological cooperation and joint development projects in the space sector. The company is quite experienced in this area," Mikheyev said.

Rosoboronexport is the organizer of a demonstration of Russian military, dual-use and civilian products on the sidelines of the 11th international meeting of high-ranking security officials. The Moscow region is hosting the event at the direction of the Russian Security Council on May 23-25.

"Rosoboronexport is displaying satellites for the first time on the sidelines of a variety of Russian and foreign international exhibitions. Our partners' delegations are shown Skif satellites, which provide broadband Internet access, and Megafon communication satellites for the Internet of Things market," Mikheyev said.
