Gloria Jeans seeks exec to help it enter international market
ROSTOV. May 22 (Interfax) - Gloria Jeans Group, a leading Russian clothing company is looking to enter foreign markets and has posted a job offer on Headhunter for an executive to develop its business with international marketplaces.
The job will involve analyzing the potential of leading global e-commerce platforms, developing a strategy to enter the international market, looking for potential foreign partners and holding negotiations with them, the posting said. The new executive will also have to assess the online markets of potential countries and the needs and demands of international customers, study competitors and develop recommendations to improve sales.
"We are actively developing and are constantly looking for strong professionals for our team who like ambitious objectives. The company is looking for opportunities to enter new foreign markets, both offline and online," Gloria Jeans' press service told Interfax, adding that the company is not commenting on interest in specific online platforms.
The group's products are currently available on the largest Russian online marketplaces.
Gloria Jeans is also actively opening stores at the former locations of international brands that have left Russia. It has opened about 30 stores in December 2022, including a flagship store on shopping street Tverskaya in Moscow.
It was reported earlier that Gloria Jeans intends to increase production at its factories in Rostov Region by 20% in 2023. The company plans to spend 10 billion rubles on its investment program this year, 70% more than in 2022. This will include about 2 billion-3 billion rubles of investment in production and 5 billion-8 billion rubles in its retail business.
The group increased its EBITDA by 17.9% to 12.5 billion rubles in 2022 on revenue up 15% to 70 billion rubles. Operating profit grew by 14.6% to 10.2 billion rubles.
The group had 675 stores in more than 300 cities as of December 31, 2022. Real estate area totalled 520,000 square meters, including 440,000 square meters of retail space.
Gloria Jeans designs, manufactures and sells clothing and accessories under the Gloria Jeans and Gee Jay brands. The company has two large logistics centers in Novosibirsk and Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Region.
