Zelensky meets with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, invites him to Ukraine

MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky started his working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a meeting with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the presidential office on Friday.

"During the meeting, the parties had a detailed discussion on relevant bilateral relations and global matters. The Ukrainian head of state thanked Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud for inviting him to take part in an Arab League summit as a guest of honor," it said.

"Zelensky informed [the crown prince] about main elements of the Ukrainian peace initiative, a peace formula," it said.

Zelensky acknowledged Saudi Arabia's successful role in returning captured Ukrainians and welcomed the continuation of these efforts.

"The crown prince of Saudi Arabia reaffirmed his country's interest in investing in Ukraine and its recovery. Zelensky invited Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to visit Ukraine," it said.
