Moldova ceases postal services with Russia due to 'impossibility of delivery'

CHISINAU. May 19 (Interfax) - Moldovan state enterprise Posta Moldovei has temporarily stopped postal services with Russia, the company's press service said in a statement on Friday.

"Posta Moldovei has temporarily stopped accepting all mail for delivery to Russia due to the inability to send mail in this direction. We are making every effort to find solutions to resume the reception and dispatch of mail to Russia as soon as possible," the company said.

Previously, postal services between Moldova and Russia were interrupted a year ago, in mid-May 2022. At that time it was restored after two weeks.
