Australia sanctions Polyus, Severstal, Rosneft, several Russian banks and officials

MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - Australia has updated its Russia sanctions list, designating a group of banks, companies and several officials.

The gold company Polyus, steel company Severstal and oil company Rosneft were added to the sanctions list on May 18.

Five Russian banks - Saint-Petersburg bank, Uralsib, Zenit, MTS-bank and Ural Bank for Reconstruction Development - have also been sanctioned.

The officials added to Australia's sanctions list are Yury Chikhanchin (along with the Federal Financial Monitoring Service, which he heads), Maxim Oreshkin and Larisa Brycheva.
