Astana, Moscow, Tashkent discussing possibility of transiting Russian gas to Uzbekistan - Kazak Energy Ministry

ASTANA. May 16 (Interfax) - Astana, Moscow and Tashkent are currently discussing the possibility of transiting Russian gas to Uzbekistan, Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev said.

"The possibility of transiting Russian gas to Uzbekistan is currently under discussion, and negotiations are underway in a rather constructive manner," Satkaliyev told reporters on Tuesday on the sidelines of a government meeting in Astana.

Satkaliyev did not specify the transit volumes under discussion, citing the matter as being "the subject of negotiations."
