Zelensky sums up outcomes of his foreign trip

MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said he is returning home from a foreign trip with new defense assistance packages.

"Italy, Germany, France, the United Kingdom... We're returning home with new defense packages. More new and powerful weapons, more political support," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying in a video address on Monday.

"There's more support for our accession to the EU. More understanding that Ukraine's accession to NATO is inevitable," he said.

Ukrainian media took note of the fact that Zelensky's address was recorded in a railroad car vestibule while he was returning to Kiev by train.
