Belarus re-introduces licensing for imported paper, fiberboard, chipboard for six months

MINSK. May 12 (Interfax) - The Belarusian government has re-introduced the licensing of imported paper and cardboard (multilayered with all bleached layers); chipboard; oriented strand board; and fiberboard for six months, and the corresponding resolution of the Council of Ministers has been posted on the National Legal Internet Portal.

The restriction also applies to imports from Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, with the exception of goods whose origin is confirmed by a ST-1 form certificate of origin.

The Anti-monopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry, in agreement with the Bellesbumprom concern, will issue permits for importing licensed products.

The restrictions also do not apply to international transit transportation of licensed goods, as well as to imported consignments of goods worth no more than 200 euros in equivalent.

Belarus had previously implemented similar restrictions in September last year, when it introduced licensing for six months also.
