WADA still sees RUSADA as non-compliant with World Anti-Doping Code

MOSCOW. May 10 (Interfax) - The Executive Committee of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) expects the Russian anti-doping agency RUSADA to fulfil the conditions of its reinstatement, which is not the case now, WADA said in a statement.

"The ExCo [Executive Committee] received an update on the current status of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA), which remains non-compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code. This is related to the 2020 decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport to declare RUSADA non-compliant," WADA said.

"RUSADA will remain non-compliant until WADA has been able to verify that it fulfills each of the reinstatement conditions laid out by the CAS," it said.

In the process of reviewing the data and samples retrieved from the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory in 2019, 195 athletes have been sanctioned for breaching the World Anti-Doping Code, and another 188 cases remain under investigation, it said.
