Ukraine-Russia talks possible by year-end thanks to China's involvement - Kissinger
MOSCOW. May 10 (Interfax) - Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said on Sunday he believes that Ukraine negotiations involving China could take place before the end of 2023.
"Now that China has entered the negotiation, it will come to a head, I think, by the end of the year. We will be talking about negotiating processes and even actual negotiations," Ukrainian media quoted Kissinger as telling the CBS television channel.
Kissinger also said that he would be inclined to act as an advisor in U.S.-Russia contacts.
"I would be inclined to do it, yes," the former U.S. secretary of state said when asked whether he would agree to take on such a role if the U.S. president asked him to do so.
