Kremlin has not formulated its position on regulating Telegram channels - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 5 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has not yet formulated its position on the possible regulation of Telegram channels, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"We do not have an established position on this matter," Peskov said in response to a request for comment on the proposal from the head of the Russian Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights Valery Fadeyev.

Fadeyev proposed that the activity of Telegram channels be analyzed and their legislative regulation be considered based on the principles that currently apply to media outlets.
