Belgium and Netherlands support Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration

MOSCOW. May 5 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte signed a joint declaration in The Hague on Thursday.

"Until Ukraine becomes a member of NATO, Belgium and the Netherlands are committed to supporting Ukraine on its path to further Euro-Atlantic integration. The security of Ukraine is of great importance to the alliance," the joint declaration said, according to Ukrainian media.

As part of the NATO-Ukraine partnership, Belgium and the Netherlands will promote long-term NATO interoperability, reform and reconstruction of Ukraine's defense industry, institution and capacity building, it said.

A priority will be a roadmap for the Ukrainian Armed Forces' transition to NATO's standards, doctrine and institutions. Belgium and the Netherlands will support Ukraine as long as it takes, according to the declaration.
