Ukraine withdraws from CIS agreement on fighting crime in transport

MOSCOW. May 3 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has authorized withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) agreement on fighting crime in transport.

The Ukrainian media said with the reference to Government Representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk that the decision was made at a government meeting on Tuesday.

The agreement was signed in Astana on September 15, 2004.
