Court of appeals upholds decision to liquidate Moscow Helsinki Group, it enters into force

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - The First Court of Appeals of General Jurisdiction has approved the decision to liquidate the Moscow Helsinki Group human rights organization, approving a lawsuit filed by the Moscow directorate of the Russian Justice Ministry.

"An appellate decision of the judicial board for administrative cases of the First Court of Appeals of General Jurisdiction on April 27 upholds the decision of the Moscow City Court to liquidate the regional public organization the Moscow Group for Assistance in Implementation of the Helsinki Agreements. The appeal is declined," the Moscow City Court press service said.

The court decision to liquidate the organization has now entered into force.
