Sakhalin Energy to begin repairs at LNG plant and gas facilities in July
MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Sakhalin Energy LLC, the operator of the Sakhalin-2 PSA project, will start repairs throughout the project's entire gas production chain in July, the company's production director Alexander Singurov told the corporate newspaper Vesti.
"We will start work simultaneously at all production facilities of the integrated gas chain on the first day of July: the Prigorodnoye Production Complex, Booster Station (BS) No. 2, the Onshore Processing Facility (OPF), the OPF Booster Station and the Lun-A platform. The Prigorodnoye Production Complex is usually the driver, it is there that we will for the first time have to carry out the overhaul of turbines on our own without the participation of foreign contractors," he said.
The company did not specify the timing of the repairs.
"Successful completion of the work will ensure the continued stable operation of the plant until the next overhaul, which will take place in eight years," Singurov said.
