Ukraine developing military risk insurance mechanisms together with DFC, USAID

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - The government of Ukraine is developing mechanisms of military risk insurance together with the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"We are working alongside our partners on attracting private capitals to the Ukrainian economy. We signed a memorandum on attracting investments together with DFC and USAID in Washington on April 12. Today in Kiev, we discussed with the corporation's CEO Scott Nathan, USAID, and the U.S. embassy practical steps on the implementation of the memorandum enabling mobilizing private capitals for Ukraine," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Shmygal as saying on his social networks.

The parties are developing military risk insurance mechanisms, he said. "We also coordinated demands for the restoration of the energy system," Shmygal said.
