Boeing liquidating subsidiary in Belarus

MINSK. April 26 (Interfax) - Boeing's subsidiary in Belarus, Boeing BLR LLC, is currently under liquidation, according to the corresponding entry posted in the Justice of Belarus publication.

Justice of Belarus reports that the owners of Boeing BLR, the Netherlands-registered divisions of Boeing Europe and Boeing Netherlands, have taken the decision to liquidate the subsidiary in Belarus.

Boeing BLR LLC has been operating since October 2020, and is responsible for communication with local regulators and consumers.

Boeing BLR LLC has been under liquidation within the Belarusian tax authorities since March 1 of this year, according to data from the Kartoteka.by counterparty verification service.

The Belarusian government in January 2022 included Boeing BLR LLC in the list of companies whose foreign participants' shares are blocked as part of the counter-sanctions. Foreign investors are not permitted to sell their respective businesses or otherwise withdraw their respective assets.

There are currently 14 Boeing aircraft in the fleet of Belarus's Belavia national airline.
