Sovcomflot has about 14% share in energy exports from Russian seaports - CEO Tonkovidov
MOSCOW. April 25 (Interfax) - Sovcomflot ships nearly 14% of the overall volume of energy exports from Russian seaports, Sovcomflot CEO Igor Tonkovidov said at the National Oil and Gas Forum.
According to the presentation, the volume of oil and gas exports from Russian ports totaled 299.85 million tonnes in 2022, of which Sovcomflot transported 41.7 million tonnes, or 13.9%.
Tonkovidov noted that Russian oil and gas companies have chartered 62 of Sovcomflot's vessels on a medium- and long-term basis, outside the "speculative spot market".
"Currently, two-thirds of the fleet operates according to long-term contracts," Tonkovidov said.
