Romania starts sealing vehicles carrying Ukrainian agricultural products in transit

MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - Romania is starting to seal vehicles transporting Ukrainian agricultural produce in transit across its territory on Monday, April 24, the Ukrainian State Transport Safety Service said on Sunday following a meeting between Ukrainian Agriculture Minister Nikolai Solsky and his Romanian counterpart Petre Daea.

"Trucks carrying Ukrainian agricultural products in transit will be sealed by Romanian customs agencies," Ukrainian media quoted the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry's statement.

The owners of vehicles travelling via Romania in transit have to prepare their trucks for being sealed and make sure that they comply with all the relevant requirements before crossing the border, it said.

Poland earlier introduced similar requirements on sealing Ukrainian trucks carrying agricultural products in transit across its territory.
