Czech Republic expects to see increase in Kazakh oil supplies - PM

ASTANA. April 24 (Interfax) - The Czech Republic expects to see an increase in Kazakh oil supplies, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said.

"Energy security is an important aspect. We are helping you to upgrade your energy sector. We stand ready to offer our products and expertise. We also need to upgrade our own energy security, and your feedstock may become a key factor in this," Fiala said at a Kazakh-Czech business forum in Astana on Monday.

"Kazakhstan is a key oil exporter to the Czech Republic. We believe there is huge potential for cooperation," he said.

A large business delegation is to arrive in Kazakhstan from the Czech Republic this fall to discuss measures to broaden cooperation between the two countries, he said.
