Poland demands vehicles carrying Ukrainian agricultural products in transit have enough fuel, be prepared for sealing

MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax) - Vehicles carrying Ukrainian agricultural products in transit via Poland will be obliged to have enough fuel in their tanks so as to be able to cross Poland without having to refuel at local filling stations (i.e. enough fuel to travel at least 150 kilometers), Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the Ukrainian State Transport Safety Service.

"All transport vehicles crossing Poland in transit are escorted, and entering a filling station under escort is impossible," it said.

Operators owning these vehicles must also prepare them for being sealed, it said.

If a vehicle does not comply with these two conditions, Polish customs agencies would bar it from entering the country and return it to Ukraine, the service said.

Poland and some other countries temporarily banned shipments of Ukrainian grain in transit via their territories last week. Poland later agreed to unblock transits of Ukrainian products.
