Air China launches Beijing-Xi'an-Astana flight, as Air Astana increases flights to China

ALMATY. April 21 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Air China will start operating flights on the route Beijing-Xi'an-Astana on Friday, the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development said.

Air China will be flying to Astana on Airbus A320 three times a week - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, starting from April 21, 2023.

Air Astana announced plans to increase the frequency of flights to cities in China from June. The air carrier will fly to Beijing from Astana twice a week and every day from Almaty and offer a Chengdu service from Almaty twice a week.

"The number of flights between the countries will increase from 13 to 19 flights a week, including China Southern Airlines (SPB: 1055) services to Urumqi from Almaty three times and Astana - Urumqi twice weekly," the ministry said on Friday.
