EBRD support portfolio planned for 2023 expected at 1.5 bln euros - Ukrainian PM

MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - The portfolio of support for Ukraine from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) preliminarily planned for 2023 will amount to 1.5 billion euros, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"This year, the EBRD plans to focus on such areas in Ukraine as supporting the public and private sectors (in particular, small and medium-sized businesses), financing road building projects, cooperation with cities and communities, and supporting the energy sector," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on the social media following a meeting with EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso.

Shmygal said he hoped the EBRD would actively join in the implementation of Ukraine's priority restoration.

"The Bank's portfolio of support preliminarily planned for this year stands at 1.5 billion euros. We praise the assistance provided by the EBRD for the needs of Ukraine," he said.
