EFI Group investment holding says trucks carrying agricultural produce amass on Ukrainian-Polish border

MOSCOW. April 19 (Interfax) - Trucks carrying Ukrainian agricultural produce worth of hundreds of millions of dollars have amassed on the Ukrainian-Polish border, the Ukrainian media quoted Effective Investments (EFI) Group head Igor Liski as saying on a social network.

"About 15 trucks carrying honey of the Beehive company to Spain, Denmark, Belgium and France are standing on the border with Poland. Some of the trucks have been there for over 25 days. That's tens of millions of hryvni of lost income and unpaid taxes," Liski said.

In his words, most of the Ukrainian agricultural shipments are stranded. Some of them crossed into Poland a few days ago but were denied admission.

"Ukrainian exporters are offered to re-export, which implies potential additional expenses of hundreds of thousands of hryvni," Liski said.
