Russia sees prospects of partnering with India in manned space programs

NEW DELHI. April 18 (Interfax) - Russia sees cooperation with India in the field of manned space programs and satellite navigation as promising, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov told journalists.

"We pay special attention to work on the training of Indian cosmonauts, and we also provide assistance in the implementation of India's Gaganyan manned spacecraft program," he said.

At present, Russia is fulfilling contracts for wind tunnel tests of models of the descent vehicle and emergency rescue system of a manned spacecraft for the Gaganyan mission, as well as for the supply of flight suit kits, crew seat kits and speed sensors.
